Empowering the Next Generation of Changemakers

The Empowering Green Mobility (EGM) program is a unique opportunity for university students to contribute to sustainable transportation solutions while gaining hands-on experience in research, data analysis, and policy advocacy. Open to students from all academic backgrounds, the program focuses on addressing transportation inequities in underserved communities while promoting sustainability and equity.

Each summer, only two outstanding students will be selected to participate in this highly competitive and impactful program. These positions are designed to provide a supportive environment for students to learn, collaborate, and drive change.

Positions Available

1. Research and Data Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on transportation inequities and sustainable mobility solutions.
- Analyze community data to identify mobility needs in underserved areas.
- Create visual reports and presentations to inform decision-making.

Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong research and data analysis skills.
- Familiarity with tools like Excel, Tableau, or GIS (preferred but not required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

2. Policy and Community Engagement Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Assist with policy research and draft recommendations for equitable mobility solutions.
- Engage with community organizations and stakeholders to understand local challenges.
- Support outreach efforts to amplify EGM’s mission and findings.

Skills/Qualifications:
- Interest in policy, sustainability, or community engagement.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Passion for making a positive impact on underserved communities.

Key Program Details
Duration: Based on availability
Stipend: $1,000 per student
Eligibility: Open to undergraduate and graduate students, with a focus on students from HBCUs
